We are seeking a versatile
IT Systems & Infrastructure Administrator
to manage our hybrid environment. You will be responsible for balancing cloud-native operations in
AWS
with hands-on management of our
on-premise data center
. This role is critical for ensuring system reliability, cost-efficiency, and seamless infrastructure performance.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Cloud Administration: Manage and scale AWS infrastructure, including EC2, Storage (S3/EBS), IAM, Backups, and CloudWatch monitoring.
- Cost & Performance Optimization: Regularly review VM utilization to identify right-sizing opportunities, consolidation, and cost-saving measures.
- Server Management: Support both Windows and Linux server environments, including regular patching, alert management, and incident resolution.
- Hybrid Infrastructure: Maintain and manage the in-house data center, including physical servers, racks, and network equipment.
- Business Continuity: Perform backup validations and maintain up-to-date infrastructure diagrams, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Vendor & Team Coordination: Collaborate with application teams and external vendors to resolve availability issues and optimize infrastructure performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience administering AWS environments and managing access via IAM.
- System Administration: Strong proficiency in both Windows and Linux OS, including automated patching and monitoring tools.
- Hardware Knowledge: Hands-on experience with physical server maintenance and data center networking.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze usage data to optimize infrastructure costs and performance.
- Documentation: Experience creating technical documentation, such as network maps and operational runbooks.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect.
- Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (e.g., AWS Direct Connect or VPN).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
