Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated settlement and reconciliation specialist to provide administrative and operational support to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of business applications and corporate actions. Given the global nature of capital markets, flexibility is required, including availability to work on Singapore public holidays when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive operational support to the Prime Brokerage business, ensuring high service quality and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Perform daily business-as-usual (BAU) tasks with precision and timeliness, maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct daily position reconciliations, manage and investigate exceptions, and proactively resolve trade breaks and settlement fails within established deadlines.
- Accurately calculate and process introducing broker rebates in accordance with contractual agreements and business timelines.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and adherence to local and international financial regulations.
- Identify, document, and escalate operational incidents promptly, ensuring effective resolution and root cause analysis.
- Continuously review and enhance BAU processes by implementing robust internal controls and efficiency improvements to minimize operational risk.
- Partner effectively with internal teams, Prime Brokers, platform vendors, and external auditors to support audits, technology enhancements, and overall service delivery.
Key Skills & Competencies / Preferred Attributes
- 10 or more years of operations experience in financial services sector
- Tertiary qualification in accountancy, banking or finance
- Good product and capital markets knowledge across different asset classes
- Conversant with corporate events for Equities and/or Securities
- Good analysis and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, especially client asset segregation principles, including custody rules, omnibus vs. segregated accounts
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and flexibility to work during Singapore public holidays
