Job Description

Job Purpose: The VP/AVP for Branding and Communications, will be a critical member responsible for shaping and advancing the bank's Group Technology brand presence, reputation, and internal communication effectiveness through strategic technological narrative, compelling communication strategies, and robust internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Branding Technology Strategy & Implementation:

  • Vision & Roadmap: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for branding Group Technology, with thought leadership as a key component of the strategy, identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance brand consistency, digital asset management, brand monitoring, and the overall brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Strategic Initiative: Define and drive Thought leadership agenda planning, with a view to amplify executive and team presence and visibility via Conferences and cross-channels (e.g. LinkedIn, client events, media), host and create our own flagship event and invite industry leaders and partners. Equip leaders with briefing packs, narratives and dial up impact through post-event publishing – reports, video, blogs, repurpose messages for internal townhalls.
  • Data & Analytics: Leverage data and analytics to measure brand performance, track campaign effectiveness.

Senior Management & Strategic Communications:

  • Executive Communications: Shortlist and pitch for conferences that best showcase DBS Tech and partner closely with C-suite executives and senior leadership in developing and delivering impactful internal and external communications, including key messages, presentations, speeches, and internal announcements.
  • Narrative Development: Oversee the development of compelling narratives that articulate the bank's Group Technology vision, strategy, and values to diverse internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with corporate communications and media relations teams to ensure consistent messaging to enhance external perspectives towards bank's Group technology.

Intranet & Digital Platforms:

  • Strategic Vision: Define the strategic vision for the bank's internal and external digital communication platforms, ensuring they serve as effective tools for branding, employee engagement, information sharing, collaboration, and cultural reinforcement.
  • Content Strategy & Governance: Develop and enforce content strategy, governance policies, and editorial guidelines for the intranet and digital platforms to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
  • Community Management: Responsible for managing and growing LinkedIn communities by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering meaningful, professional conversations. Monitors audience sentiment, escalates issues where required, and ensures timely, brand‑appropriate interactions. Partners closely with content, marketing and communications teams to amplify campaigns, encourage dialogue, and strengthen brand credibility.
  • Analytics & Optimisation: Monitor intranet performance metrics (e.g., engagement, traffic, content popularity) and implement data-driven optimisation to continuously improve engagement strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years (VP) or 5–8 years (AVP) of experience in internal or corporate communications, ideally within banking, technology, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing tech narrative and successful branding of technology.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic communications plans for senior executives and critical initiatives, preferably for tech-related field and content.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, concise, and compelling messages.
  • Strong understanding of various (including digital) communication channels, content management systems, and internal communication best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong acumen and understanding and grasp of the technology content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation. Proven track record of managing multiple and navigating stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals using sound design principles (layout, typography, visual hierarchy), and to develop coherent storyboards that guide the narrative flow. Tailoring content and visuals for different audiences.
  • Experienced in creating polished, engaging presentations that meet executive standard. Advanced proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Figma, Adobe, Canva, or similar, will be advantageous
