Business Function

Group Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing, and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a content and communications specialist to drive employee engagement and ensure a consistent engaging voice across all platforms (internal & external, incl. social. Media) that connect employees, leadership and external audiences. This position focuses on internal communications, event and project management, including leadership communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is part of the IBG Growth Marketing team, driving strategic storytelling, strengthening internal communications and reinforcing social media presence (esp TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn), especially for elevating senior profiling and awareness of marquee deals and key initiatives
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Internal and External Brand Communications Leads to ensure the internal communications strategies/executions align with business priorities and deliver a consistent and engaging tone of voice and communications style that connect employees, leadership and external audiences
  • Develop and deliver communication plans that effectively communicates IBG objectives, strategic areas of focus and key initiatives that are specific to each project/request. Subjects include leadership communications, business objectives, key initiatives, industry or product expertise, employee engagement or latest developments
  • Leveraging AI tools and working with external design agencies, partner relevant stakeholders to edit and develop storyboards for engaging content (including multimedia content such as full-length article, videos, banners, eDMs and infographics) that is relevant, personalised and targeted for employees and corporate clients
  • Plan, coordinate and execute the IBG Townhalls in Singapore, including pre-and post-event content creation and publishing. Liaise with in country teams for same thematics to be applied for internal communications and townhalls
  • Important deliverables include:
  • Monthly newsletter publishing from copywriting and ideation to final publishing. Project manage multiple parties including stakeholders and internal Marketing colleagues for content contributions
  • Familiar with newsletters creation and publishing tools (Canva, Stripo, Politemail, Liferay etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate Internal employee engagement activities on upskilling, lunch and learn sessions, top performers incentive trip
  • Intranet new content and maintenance/improvement: manage vendors like the design agency and the content writer
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly newsletters and intranet traffic analytics report. Monitor engagement analytics, sentiment and feedback trends to continuously improve communication effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Communications or Marketing, or related field with minimum 5 years experience in communications and content creation
  • Strong stakeholders management skills with preference for experience in managing complex stakeholder ecosystems as well as expertise in employee engagement and feedback management
  • Strong practical knowledge and experience in digital marketing, use of AI and video tools to create content as well as design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva
  • Basic data analysis skills to track and report on performance of internal campaigns, initiatives etc
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and able to distil it into easy to grasp content
  • A good eye for aesthetics and design
  • Exceptional writing and content creation skills - able to create a wide range of content including but not limited to newsletter stories, videos, podcasts, webpages, social media copies, scripts, policies, guidelines, etc
  • A mature team player who can thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Tenacious and resourceful, and able to work well under pressure
  • Experience in crisis communications will be advantageous, but not mandatory
