Job Purpose
Being part of the International Connectivity & Transformation Regional team in DBS Consumer Banking Group & Wealth Management (CBG/ Wealth), playing a pivotal role in shaping our strategy towards Global Wealth Management anchored in Wealth Continuum, Wealth Connectivity and Operating Model transformation.
As a Strategy and Transformation professional, you are required to have a deep understanding of the Wealth Management business with experience in local or foreign universal banks or FinTech players playing in this space. You have demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-market cross-functional teams and work closely with key stakeholders to understand the levers, business drivers and challenges to effectively synergise and carve out an executable plan and drive desired outcome for the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and implement strategic plans, management scorecards and budgets to transform Consumer Banking Group towards Global Wealth Management covering Wealth Continuum and Wealth Connectivity
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in Wealth Management across DBS 6 core locations & any other new markets to identify opportunities and threats
- Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data, prepare business plans, and conduct feasibility studies to support business decisions and strategic initiatives
- Operating Model Transformation: Support pivot of target operating model to support Global Wealth Management agenda, including initiative tracking
- Project Management: Manage and oversee strategic projects from strategy development to completion of execution, ensuring timely delivery. To support documenting, preparation of meeting materials and archiving of key project artefacts for the deliverables
- Management Presentations & Offsites: Prepare materials to senior management on a regular and ad-hoc basis, outlining market insights, Wealth agenda progress updates and strategic recommendations
Requirements
- At least Undergraduate degree in STEM related subjects, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, strategy planning, management consulting or a related field, with Wealth Management or Consumer Banking experience
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful business strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation/storyboarding, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and in cross-market cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly motivated and strategic thinker with a passion for Wealth Management and a desire to make a positive impact on customers lives
