Job Purpose
Our team is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business outcomes, which includes identifying market opportunities and customer value propositions by customer segments, as well as developing a customer-centric engagement model. The team will work with various product teams to grow the income and profitability of the DBS/POSB Retail & Treasures customer segment by leveraging Customer Insights and Data-Driven Marketing.
Responsibilities
Segment Strategy, Positioning
- Own and evolve the strategic roadmap for the Young Adults segment across banking products, engagement journeys, and customer experience
- Develop a point-of-view on key customer needs, market trends, and lifecycle inflection points to shape the segment narrative
- Synthesize insights, business cases and journeys into clear, compelling narratives to for senior stakeholders and to gain stakeholder alignment
- Drive targeted engagement initiatives, including thematic campaigns and partnerships
Programme Management & Execution Oversight
- Run the Programe and Execution oversight for segment initiativestracking progress, surfacing gaps, and unblocking delivery challenges to ensure timely execution of all agreed plans and enhancements
- Own the end-to-end cadence and governance for segment execution, ensuring all initiatives move from idea to impact
P&L Management & Growth Levers
- Monitor segment-level performance across revenue, cost, and engagement metrics
- Identify and prioritize growth leversincluding acquisition, activation, and cross-sellto drive profitability
Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Digital, and analytics teams to build and launch segment-led propositions/ bundles and go-to-market plans
- Ensure alignment between segment strategy and product, ensuring products and services meet the evolving needs of young adults
External & Competitive Intelligence
- Stay on top of Gen Z/young adult trends, financial behaviours, and competitive movements to shape a future-forward segment strategy
- Infuse insights into roadmap planning, proposition development, and campaign design
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree with 610 years of experience in segment management, strategy, product, or marketingpreferably in banking, fintech, or consumer sectors
- Highly proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Qliksense, Tableau or equivalent, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight
- Skilled in executive-level presentation development through Powerpoint with the ability to structure and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively
- Customer-obsessed mindset with an ability to translate insights into actionable plans
- Self-starter with strong strategic, blue sky thinking, communication, and influencing skills
- Proven experience in cross-functional project teams
- Strong business acumen with comfort navigating segment-level P&L and performance drivers
- Familiarity with youth trends, digital engagement, and lifestyle-driven propositions is a plus
