About the role:
Reporting to a Senior Vice President, APJ of Darwinbox as AVP Sales for Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia—you will play a critical role in accelerating the company's growth and market share in the country. This is an opportunity to drive demonstrable scale in Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian markets, and to enable Darwinbox to achieve its ambitions. You will act as the face of the regional business and work with senior stakeholders within Darwinbox, to adapt and ensure the business is equipped to serve the local market.
Leveraging the momentum that has been built and the strong initial market reception that Darwinbox has received in the region, you will be at the forefront of the company's growth story in the country and will be responsible for acquiring new Enterprise logos by selling the company's best-in-class and transformative HRMS product.
In addition, you will be responsible, as a leader and player coach, to grow and nurture the existing sales team and enable their fullest potential. Ultimately, you will play a key role in significantly growing the company's valuation through to the next funding round and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential enterprise customers through lead generation activities, networking, and industry events.
- Coach, build and empower a strong performing sales team to achieve Darwinbox's goals for the region.
- Conduct research to understand client needs and challenges, and position Darwinbox effectively to address those needs.
- Close high value wins with enterprise clients in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
- Execute on the overarching go-to-market strategy to establish Darwinbox as a market leader in SEA.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within enterprise clients, including HR directors, C-suite executives, and other decision-makers.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline sufficient to achieve/exceed sales performance objectives.
- Provide thorough feedback from conversations with existing and new clients, to the management team, on how Darwinbox can provide a best in class service and continue to develop its products.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in the HR technology landscape to generate meaningful conversations and sales opportunities in the target market
- Be a leader at industry events/conferences by actively networking and evangelising the Darwinbox value proposition
- Leverage the company's advisor base for mentorship and access to networks to support client acquisition.
Key Requirements
- Pedigree educational background or equivalent work experience with deep exposure to contemporary sales techniques and approaches.
- At least 20 years experience out of which 10 years of sales experience selling Enterprise SaaS solutions to C-Level buyers, via a consultative sales approach.
- Comfortable with flexible work timings and traveling.
- Proven ability to work and effectively communicate with C-level executives and line of business representatives
- Track record of driving results under minimal supervision. Experience building a vertical/new business is a plus
- Experience in selling HR software related solutions is an advantage.
- Deeply analytical with strong operational/process orientation, fast- paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial.
- Strong bias for action.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in an expanding industry sector with the personal resilience to win and engage others.
- Excellent work ethic, collaborative style.

- Fluency in English. Malay and Mandarin will be a strong plus.
