AVP, Loan Operations (Banking)

We are currently partnering with a leading international bank who have a strong presence in the Asia region, and are looking to hire an AVP, Loan Operations candidate.

This role will oversee end-to-end loan and banker's guarantee (BG) operations across multiple product types. The role will ensure accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, combine hands-on operational oversight, risk management and stakeholder coordination.

This role will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee and execute end-to-end loan and BG processing (drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, issuances, amendments, fees) with accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure proper transaction input and maintenance in core banking systems, along with complete documentation and record-keeping
• Manage daily nostro funding, reconciliations, and coordination with Finance and other internal stakeholders
• Act as the central liaison across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare and review periodic reports for internal stakeholders, head office, clients, auditors, and regulators (e.g., MAS, HKMA)
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and AML standards; implement strong risk and control frameworks

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in loan operations
• Strong knowledge of loan products (e.g., syndicated loans, bilateral loans, revolving/term facilities) and banker's guarantees processing.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
