Job Description

About the Company

ADDX is looking for an AVP, Legal to join our in-house legal team supporting a MAS-regulated capital markets platform.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the VP, Legal, you will take on a broad remit across commercial, regulatory, corporate and transactional matters in a fast-paced business environment. You will work in a collaborative setting with direct exposure to senior management, and scope to develop the role as the business evolves. This role suits a lawyer with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience looking to move from private practice or to broaden their in-house scope. Outstanding candidates outside this range will also be considered. You will have the autonomy to run matters independently while being supported through active mentorship and supervision from the VP, Legal.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including platform issuance documentation, service and partnership agreements, NDAs and vendor contracts.
  • Support platform product launches and token issuances, working with the business, compliance and external counsel to structure offerings and prepare associated legal documentation.
  • Advise on day-to-day legal and regulatory queries across the group, including questions arising under the SFA, FAA, PSA and applicable MAS notices and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update platform-facing legal documentation, including terms and conditions, listing and exchange rules, privacy policy and related materials.
  • Support corporate transactional work, including fundraising, M&A and internal restructurings, and manage external counsel and associated budgets.
  • Contribute to corporate secretarial, data protection, IP and employment matters as part of a generalist in-house remit.

Qualifications

Admitted to the Singapore Bar with 2–4 years PQE, gained at a reputable law firm or in-house

legal team; outstanding candidates outside this range will also be considered.

Required Skills

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to produce clean first drafts and manage

matters with limited supervision.

  • Sound commercial and regulatory judgement, and the ability to give clear, actionable advice

under time pressure.

  • Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable engaging directly with senior business leaders,

compliance, product and external counsel.

  • Pragmatic, collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to take ownership across a broad

range of matters.

  • Experience in financial services regulation, capital markets, funds or fintech is a plus, but not

required.
