Job Description
The role will be responsible for supervising operations in data centers by overseeing system performance, monitoring infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, managing incidents, conducting audits, reporting to senior management, collaborating with external vendors, and implementing policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor critical systems and ensure operational stability, including servers, storage, network devices, databases, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, utilizing problem-solving skills and collaboration with IT teams.
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and adhere to industry standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
- Manage vendor relationships, coordinating contracts, billing, and service requests efficiently.
- Prepare regular reports on system status, incident analysis, and other key metrics for senior management review.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential risks or areas of improvement within the data center environment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective operation and maintenance of data center facilities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and enhance overall data center operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in their professional development.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale data center operations.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, networking concepts, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix, SCOM, or Nagios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
