Role Overview
The Data Analytics (DA) Audit Manager plays a pivotal role in embedding data-driven testing into internal audit engagements. This hands-on role involves designing and executing analytics strategies to assess key controls, support audit conclusions, and drive innovation across the audit function. As the first member of a newly formed team, the DA Audit Manager will help shape the rollout of analytics services and coach auditors in effective data use.
This position offers autonomy, leadership growth, and the opportunity to build subject matter expertise while contributing to a global Centre of Excellence for Data Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Delivery & Planning
- Lead end-to-end analytics delivery across multiple audits, ensuring alignment with methodology and quality standards.
- Understand business processes, risks, and controls to design effective testing strategies.
- Manage large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Translate analytics results into clear, actionable insights for audit teams.
- Escalate risks and delivery challenges promptly.
- Drive innovation through advanced analytics and tool development.
- Document work accurately and support audit teams in communicating findings.
Technical Expertise
- 5+ years in data analytics, preferably within financial services, audit, or risk.
- Strong coding skills in Python or similar languages.
- Proficient in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and workflow tools (e.g., Alteryx).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and automation tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytics projects and mentor junior colleagues.
- Strong quantitative and project management skills.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with audit teams to embed analytics into audit planning and execution.
- Build collaborative relationships and promote best practices.
- Advocate for agile approaches to improve audit cycles and stakeholder experience.
- Support broader initiatives beyond audit, including thematic reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
