Job Summary
Singlife is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Cloud Architect to join the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) team. This is a hybrid role requiring both architecture leadership and strong engineering execution capabilities.
We are looking for a candidate who can design enterprise-scale cloud solutions and translate architecture into working implementations through automation and modern engineering practices.
The successful candidate will help shape Singlife's cloud strategy, architecture standards, security controls, governance framework, and cost optimization initiatives while working closely with application teams, CloudOps, SRE, DBA, security, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess strong AWS expertise with practical experience in cloud-native technologies, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud security, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications
- 7 – 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS core services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, ELB, RDS, EFS, FSx, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, routing, and security controls.
- Solid understanding of container-based deployments, orchestration, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as GitLab, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-optimized architectures.
- Good understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, and access controls.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels, including engineers, architects, and management teams.
