We are looking for a skilled Avaloq Consultant combining Business Analysis and Functional Consulting expertise to support end-to-end delivery of Avaloq core banking solutions for private banks and wealth management institutions.
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyse requirements, design functional solutions, configure Avaloq, and support implementation, testing, and go-live activities.
The ideal candidate has strong Avaloq functional knowledge, solid private banking domain expertise, and hands-on experience delivering Avaloq projects in a consulting environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead business requirement gathering workshops with Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and IT teams
- Analyse current-state and target-state business processes
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and Avaloq standard capabilities
- Translate requirements into
- Functional specifications
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Business process flows
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on Avaloq best practices and solution design
- Design and configure Avaloq Core Banking functionalities aligned with client needs
- Support functional setup across Avaloq modules such as:
- Client & Account Management
- Portfolio Management & Securities
- Transactions & Payments
- Corporate Actions
- Fees, commissions, and reporting
- Work closely with Avaloq technical teams to ensure correct implementation
- Support integration with front platforms and surrounding systems
- Prepare and execute functional test cases (SIT, UAT) Support data migration validation and reconciliation
- Analyse defects and support functional resolution
- Assist in cut-over preparation and go-live activities
- Provide post-go-live stabilization support
- Contribute to Agile or Waterfall delivery activities
- Maintain functional documentation, handbooks, and user guides
- Support change management and end-user training when required
PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Banking / Financial Services consulting
- Strong hands-on experience with Avaloq Core Banking Platform
- Solid domain knowledge in Private Banking / Wealth Management
- Proven experience combining:
- Business analysis
- Functional design
- Functional configuration / solutioning
- Experience supporting Avaloq implementation, migration, or upgrade projects
- Proficient with SQL and PL/SQL, Python and/or advanced Excel macros
- Strong stakeholder communication and client-facing skills
- Experience with UAT / SIT planning and execution
- Avaloq certification (Functional / Implementation)
- Exposure to Avaloq Front Platform or third-party front-office tools
- Experience working with private banks in APAC
- Basic understanding of SQL, data models, or interfaces
- Experience in Agile delivery environments
