AV Technician & Driver

About the Role

This role is suitable for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, driving and supporting event setups.

No prior AV experience is required - training will be provided for candidates willing to learn.

You will help transport and set up professional audio visual equipment for corporate events, exhibitions and live productions across Singapore.

This is not a typical delivery driver role. The role combines driving, equipment handling and event setup as part of a technical operations team.

If you are dependable, physically capable and calm under pressure, this role will suit you well.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle safely for equipment deployment and return

• Load, unload and transport AV equipment to event venues

• Assist with setup and teardown of audio visual equipment including TVs, speakers, lighting and LED walls

• Lay cables neatly and safely during event setups

• Follow packing lists and operational instructions carefully

• Test equipment before deployment when required

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness

• Support warehouse organisation and equipment preparation

• Communicate clearly with the operations team

• Handle basic troubleshooting during event setups when needed

• Follow operational SOPs and safety practices
  
  Report operational issues observed during jobs and suggest practical improvements

  Work with the operations team to identify recurring problems and contribute ideas that help improve workflows and prevent future issues

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 driving licence

• Comfortable driving company vans for equipment deployment

• Physically fit for equipment handling and lifting

• Responsible, punctual and dependable

• Calm under pressure during event setups

• Able to follow instructions carefully

• Good teamwork and communication

• Comfortable with practical technical work

AV experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Vehicle safety and responsible driving are important for this role.

Working Environment

• Fast-paced event operations environment

• Hands-on equipment work

• Team-based deployments for events and exhibitions

• 5.5-day operational work week in a fast-paced AV rental environment. Deployment schedules may include evenings or weekends depending on project requirements.
