Automotive Technician (Truck Repair)

Job Overview

• Located at Tuas
• S$2,300 - S$4,300 basic (depending on experience)
• Overtime: Average 35 hours/month (approximatelyS$800 additional OT pay)
• Performance Bonus: Provided
• Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Alternate Saturday, 8:30 AM - 12:30PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for heavy trucks, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Carry out overhaul repairs, recommend required parts, and ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and company quality procedures.
• Complete work orders accurately, record repair details and time, and update the Team Leader on repair progress and requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized workshop by following health & safety guidelines, warranty procedures, company policies, and support fellow technicians when required.

Skills /Experience Required

• 3-5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical/electronic components.
• Ability to read vehicle electrical circuit diagrams and use a multimeter for basic electrical diagnostics.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting, overhaul repairs, and workshop quality standards.
