Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Engineer (Mechanical) to support the manufacturing, assembly, repair, and maintenance of battery-operated carts and mobility systems, as well as assist in automotive engineering works within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication of battery-operated carts (BOC) and golf buggies.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical components in mobility systems and vehicles.
- Carry out maintenance and overhaul of BOC, golf carts, and related mechanical systems.
- Assist in automotive repair works including engine, transmission, braking, and suspension systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system layouts.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of completed units to ensure performance and safety compliance.
- Work closely with the engineering team on system improvements and modifications.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with WSH and quality standards.
- Maintain proper documentation, service records, and engineering reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience in automotive or mechanical engineering works.
- Experience in fabrication, assembly, or repair of mechanical systems (experience with BOC or similar systems is an advantage).
- Strong hands-on skills with ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
