Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with 5-7 years of hands-on automation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance practices. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and executing automated test solutions to ensure secure, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Java/Python.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks and reusable components to support regression, functional, and integration testing.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios.

• Analyse test results, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Maintain and optimise existing test suites to ensure relevance and accuracy as systems evolve.

• Ensure test coverage meets quality standards required for public-sector compliance, including data privacy, security, and accessibility.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and production readiness checks.

• Document automation strategies, test cases, and results according to government project documentation standards.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software test automation.

• Experience working on public sector or government projects with understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Postman (for API testing), and scripting languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Strong understanding of automation frameworks such as Page Object Model and BDD with Cucumber.

• Familiarity with test management tools including JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Basic manual testing capabilities to support hybrid QA tasks when needed.

• Familiarity with government security frameworks, IM8 policies.
