Automation Test Engineer (Banking Domain)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and Tosca to support testing initiatives within the banking/financial services domain. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose testing solutions while meeting project milestones.

This role requires hands-on automation development skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Professional Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritise, and execute multiple testing tasks in a structured and organised manner

• Influence and drive testing activities to meet key project milestones and overcome delivery challenges

• Translate functional and business requirements into effective and efficient test automation solutions

• Collaborate with business users, developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks

Technical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Tosca

• Perform test execution, defect tracking, and reporting for banking applications

• Support functional, regression, and integration testing activities

• Ensure test coverage aligns with business and regulatory requirements within the banking domain

• Participate in automation framework enhancement and optimisation

Requirements

Professional Skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

• Proven ability to drive projects, meet deadlines, and resolve challenges effectively

• Experience translating functional requirements into technical automation solutions

• Prior experience in banking or financial services environment is preferred

Technical Skills

Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Selenium

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Tosca

• Experience working with banking customers or banking systems

• Hands-on development experience in test automation

Desirable:

• Experience with Playwright

• Experience with Appium (mobile automation)
