Job Summary
- Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing in leading machine enhancement, managing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machines, project execution, accountability on production waste and quality of all machine tools operations and the overall technician resource management in production. Must be able to commit day shift 7am to 7pm. (Shift Pattern 3/4/4/3). During training period, you will be on day shift 7: 00am to 4:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Maintain machines to achieve production output targets and meet quality and waste reduction metrics
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, servicing, and replacing machine components to ensure operational reliability
- Troubleshoot machine issues to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards
- Initiate, implement, and follow up on machine enhancement projects to improve manufacturing processes
- Write clear Standard Work Instructions and Procedures for assigned operations and processes
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve machine and process issues
- Train and coach Technicians and new hires on machine operations and adjustment skills to build team capability
- Assist Engineers or Subject Matter Experts in continuous improvement (CI) activities to optimize production
- Interpret electrical and electronic wiring or schematic diagrams to support machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Apply basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as Omron or Allen Bradley to support machine control systems
- Utilize basic understanding of electrical hardware components including HMIs, motors, and controllers in maintenance tasks
- Use basic knowledge of industry vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) to support machine inspection and quality control
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to interpret electrical or electronic wiring or schematic diagrams
- Ability to interpret pneumatic diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components in machinery
- Sound knowledge of various sensor types (reflective, proximity, etc.) and switches used in assembly line applications
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in electrical control and automation
- Basic knowledge or experience working with PLCs (e.g., Omron or Allen Bradley)
- Diploma or Nitec in Electrical Engineering or related field (fresh graduates are welcome)
