We are seeking a data-driven Automation Project Manager with a proven track record in managing large projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem solving skills along with engineering and automation knowledge.
Alongside a team of experienced project managers, automation designers, control engineers and maintenance engineers, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects to optimise the engineering reliability and maintenance processes across 8 markets.
Job Description
- Project Planning and Execution: Drive end-to-end project management for logistics automation projects- from planning and design through installation and ramp-up
- Design Review and Standards Compliance: Review automation design drawings and technical proposals from vendors, align with local stakeholders on operational requirements, drive design adjustments as needed, and ensure all solutions comply with internal design standards
- Installation Oversight and Quality Assurance: Evaluate vendors site installation plans and checklists, monitoring project progress, quality, and safety to ensure delivery to specification. Serve as the escalation point to coordinate and resolve issues during installation
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Monitor vendor performance against timelines and quality commitments, resolve issues proactively, and conduct regular performance reviews
- Reporting and Risk Management: Maintain accurate project documentation and generate comprehensive management reports on automation project progress, performance, and challenges. Proactively identify and assess risks during project execution. Develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and ensure successful delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in managing large-scale projects is preferred
- Strong sense of ownership with a demonstrated ability to work hands-on and overcome implementation challenges
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel to Shopee markets in Southeast Asia and Brazil
