Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will lead technical delivery and project execution of automation and control systems, collaborating with project managers and teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engineering and project management activities across all project phases including planning, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of control system projects
- Design, develop, and program control systems to meet engineering specifications and project requirements
- Provide regular status updates and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project managers and Engineering Team Leaders
- Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures within the project scope
- Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams including engineers, technicians, contract staff, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery
- Foster a collaborative team environment that supports effective communication and problem-solving
- Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned projects, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met
- Adapt to evolving technologies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Apply critical thinking and attention to detail to troubleshoot and optimize control systems
- Demonstrate active listening and cultural values aligned with the organization
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate Manager
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, control, and electrical projects including design, consulting, implementation, and commissioning
- Strong knowledge of digital electronics, electrical fundamentals, and programming languages relevant to control systems
- Proficient understanding of industrial control systems, preferably Rockwell Automation solutions, and IT/OT infrastructure
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and proactive information-seeking approach
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), life sciences, or data center environments
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products and software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio
- Knowledge and experience with low voltage and medium voltage drives
