Automation Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to ensure optimal performance of production machines and automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production machines and automation systems for smooth and defect-free operations. Validate system performance, reliability, and functionality while identifying and resolving bugs or inefficiencies in hardware and software systems. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues, collaborating with suppliers for remote support as needed. Oversee the installation, integration, and setup of automation solutions, including robotics and control systems, to minimize downtime. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities with automation expertise for seamless implementation. Ensure machines and automation systems meet targeted Units Per Hour (UPH), cycle time, and quality standards. Provide ongoing maintenance, preventive upkeep, and technical support for automated equipment and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain documentation such as system designs, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial automation. Strong technical skills in automation frameworks and test systems. Familiarity with robotics, sensors, and networking technologies. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently. Strong project management, documentation, and communication skills. Detail-oriented mindset focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Effective collaboration with customers, factory teams, peers, and management. Professional certifications in automation or control systems are advantageous.
