Automation Engineer (Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robotic systems and automated machinery for semiconductor manufacturing processes using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Create detailed designs for electromechanical components, assemblies, and integrated automation systems.
• Develop, test, and optimize robot control software and automation algorithms.
• Support machine integration, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Configure, program, and support industrial robotic systems and automation equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver automation projects on schedule.
• Provide technical support during equipment installation and implementation activities.
• Travel regularly between Singapore and Malaysia to support project execution and customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation, robotics, machine design, or semiconductor equipment engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and automated machinery design.
• Experience in electromechanical system design and integration.
• Knowledge of robotics, motion control systems, and automation software development.
• Experience with industrial robot programming and integration is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time between Singapore and Malaysia
