Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced audit and tax professional to support assurance engagements and statutory tax compliance work for a portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for performing audit procedures, preparing tax filings, managing timelines, and delivering quality client service within a professional services environment.
This role sits within the Audit department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assurance activities and document audit procedures in accordance with professional standards.
- Manage timelines and multiple engagements effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Prepare statutory tax filings and identify developments that impact tax compliance.
- Provide timely and professional client service throughout audit and tax assignments.
- Develop an understanding of clients businesses and specific service requirements.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 2 to 4 years of relevant external audit experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of audit procedures, financial reporting standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in preparing or reviewing statutory tax filings will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word; familiarity with audit software is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
