Job Scope
. Conduct audiological assessments and upload results to EMR
. Interpret results and provide counseling to patients and caregivers
. Perform hearing aid evaluations and recommend suitable devices
. Fit hearing aids and guide patients on usage
. Troubleshoot devices and manage repairs/replacements
. Liaise with staff/vendors for equipment maintenance and consumables
. Monitor and maintain records of inventory and stocks
. Prepare reports and meeting minutes
. Supervise and train junior technicians
. Provide in-service training and stay updated on industry developments
. Participate in research activities
. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
. Minimum Bachelor in Audiology (Honors), Masters is preferred
. Registered/certified audiologist is preferred
. Minimum 1-2 years in a similar setting is preferred
. Clinical supervision and on-job-training on certain sub-specialty for new audiologist will be provided whenever necessary
. Familiar with hearing aid technology and other related updates
. Basic knowledge on some specialized areas including CI and MEI
. Knowledge in the relationship between hearing and speech
. Able to communicate well with hearing impaired individuals
