A. Overall Purpose of The Job

The primary role of the Network Engineer is to support our Data Centre and the Core Network

infrastructure to ensure smooth daily operation and its maintenance. This includes project delivery

and subsequent refresh program for all the in scope infrastructure.

B. Key Responsibilities

. Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless,

Tacacs, and Firewall.

. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal

performance.

. Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, ACI,

remote access VPN, and microsegmentation products.

. Support network upgrades and migrations, including planning, testing, and documentation.

. Collaborate with other IT teams to support system integration and resolve cross-functional

issues.

. Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, IP addressing, and change logs.

. Respond to incidents and outages, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.

. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when necessary.

. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness,

approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

C. Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge

. Proven hands-on network operation and engineering experience is a must

. Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)

. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.

. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.

. Strong Knowledge in network design including routing, switching and security.

. Experience in enterprise network architecture planning or design concepts such as network

segmentation or network segregation is mandatory.

. Experience managing SDN Solution (E.g. Cisco ACI), Firewall and Load Balancers would be

required.

. Knowledge of ITIL framework and principles.

Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the

job)

. At Least 5 years of experience in Network Infrastructure operation, design and build, project

implementation and delivery.

. Proven operation experience in managing Network and security operations.

. Experience in managing network components like Cisco switch and router, Cisco ACI, Fortinet

Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, Aruba Wireless, Aruba Clearpass, and Solarwinds are essential.

Required Qualifications (Brief description of the educational background needed to perform the

job)

. Professional certification is essential. E.g CCNP.

. University degree in Computer Science or a related subject

. Programming Skills with Python will be advantage
