Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assurance & Governance Consultant with strong expertise in banking systems, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks. The role involves driving governance, audit readiness, and risk control initiatives across digital transformation and core banking projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement governance and control frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetites
- Lead project assurance activities to ensure compliance across banking transformation initiatives
- Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and audit mechanisms
- Collaborate with stakeholders (technology, risk, compliance, auditors) to ensure audit readiness and regulatory alignment
- Identify and remediate control gaps, operational risks, and audit findings
- Support regulatory reporting, documentation, and assurance reviews
- Drive risk-based decision-making and ensure timely remediation of issues
- Conduct control testing, reconciliation checks, and validation processes
- Facilitate engagement with external auditors and regulatory bodies
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Certifications such as PMI-ACP, CBAP, or equivalent are advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, or assurance roles
- Strong experience in banking or financial services domain
- Hands-on experience in core banking systems (e.g., Finacle) or financial platforms
- Proven track record in audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks
