Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead fire protection projects from award to handover, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and fully compliant with SCDF requirements while maintaining strong client and consultant relationships.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close out fire protection projects including sprinkler, wet/dry riser, hose reel, and fire alarm systems
- Manage subcontractors and site teams to drive progress, resolve technical issues, and enforce safety and quality standards
- Lead project meetings with clients and consultants, handling RFIs, variation orders, and progress claims
- Monitor project P&L, forecast costs, and implement cost controls to protect margins
- Coordinate with purchasing and design teams to ensure timely material delivery and approved submissions
- Ensure all works comply with CP10, SS145, SS575, and SCDF codes and obtain required approvals
- Prepare and submit progress reports to management for project oversight and decision-making
- Drive defect-free handover and close-out documentation for completed projects
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in fire protection or MEP works
- Strong knowledge of Singapore fire codes: CP52, SS645, SS575, SS578, etc, and SCDF submission requirements
- Proven track record managing $500K+ fire protection projects from award to TOP/CSC
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills with clients, consultants, and site teams
- Familiarity with project scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- ITC, Diploma, Degree in Engineering. PMP, FSM, or WSH certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience with both new-build and A&A fire protection works
- Knowledge of ISO documentation and QA/QC processes
