We're looking for a finance controllership professional to support our Client's Controllership operations, process and systems across faculties and schools. This role is a maternity cover for the period Aug 26 to March 2027.
What you'll do
- Support day-to-day finance operations, including WBS master data creation/maintenance and budget transfer activities
- Act as a key point of contact to resolve finance operations queries and operational issues within service level expectations (SLAs)
- Perform governance and controls activities (e.g., dormant WBS reviews, balance sheet reviews)
- Review and oversee financial master data governance for accuracy and compliance
- Review Risk Control Matrices (RCMs) prepared by units and recommend improvements
- Support operational audit and ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Provide advisory support on finance policies/procedures for consistent application
- Help drive process improvements to strengthen efficiency, standardisation, and control effectiveness
What we're looking for
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, audit, or controllership
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and governance frameworks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis and reconciliation)
- SAP S/4HANA Financial systems familiarity is an advantage
