Associate - Transactional Services

Background

Pinsent Masons has an international Transactional Services group comprising approximately 465 lawyers, including more than 110 partners globally.

We are looking for an individual to join our ambitious, dynamic and highly ranked team in Singapore, working on a mix of conventional and renewable energy transactions and other energy and infrastructure related matters for international and regional clients, as well as potentially working on equity and debt capital market transactions, private equity and venture capital fund raisings, and regulatory work in other sectors.

The role will include advising on acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, specialist energy / infrastructure sector contracts and fund raisings in the energy sector, plus potentially also capital markets listing work across a broader range of industries such as manufacturing, life sciences, technology, healthcare, education and financial services.

Candidate Qualifications / Prior Experience

• English law or Singapore law qualified (or qualified in another common law jurisdiction having had extensive experience of English law and common law principles)
• technically excellent and diligent, as well as being commercially astute
• ideally with strong experience in the energy and/or infrastructure sector and with a passion for the energy industry, including both conventional energy and energy transition
• solid corporate experience in acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and other energy / infrastructure sector contracts
• a collaborative team player with enthusiasm and dynamism
• a strong client focussed / client service approach, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

The candidate will be expected to work closely with the partners and others on both client matters and business development.
