The Associate Technologist, Product Innovation supports the operations of the application and sensory laboratories at the Global Innovation Center in Singapore while assisting ongoing global innovation projects related to coatings, fillings, beverages, and chocolate applications.
The role supports product development activities, ingredient evaluation, laboratory operations, and innovation project execution in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
This is a hands-on technical role suited for individuals with a strong interest in food innovation, product applications, and ingredient functionality within a B2B food ingredients environment.
About The Role
Innovation Project Support
• Support global innovation projects related to coatings, fillings, beverages, and chocolate applications
• Coordinate project activities, trial planning, and prototype preparation
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders to support project delivery
• Maintain project documentation, trial records, and reporting
• Support product evaluations and benchmarking activities
Ingredient & Portfolio Support
• Support ingredient evaluation and portfolio activities related to coatings, fillings, beverages, and chocolate applications
• Assist in ingredient screening, benchmarking, and functionality assessments
• Coordinate supplier samples, documentation, and tracking
• Support technical data collection and organization for innovation projects
Application & Sensory Laboratory Operations
• Support daily operations of the application and sensory laboratories at the Global Innovation Center in Singapore
• Coordinate laboratory scheduling, ingredient preparation, and trial execution
• Maintain laboratory organization, equipment readiness, and inventory management
• Support sensory evaluation sessions and sample preparation
• Ensure compliance with internal safety and quality procedures
• Coordinate sample storage, tracking, and documentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, R&D, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Technical teams
• Support collaboration with suppliers, universities, and external innovation partners where required
About You:
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline
• 2–5 years of experience in food product development, applications, laboratory operations, or related technical roles
• Experience in chocolate, compound coatings, fillings, beverages, or related food categories is preferred
• Familiarity with sensory evaluation is an advantage
• Good understanding of product formulation, ingredient functionality, and food processing
• Fluent in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
