Associate (Tax & Private Wealth)

An opportunity exists for a Singapore qualified lawyer to join our leading Tax & Private Wealth Practice, a specialist team that serves a wide range of premier clients from leading multinational corporations to prominent ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) from around the region. You can expect to work closely with senior lawyers on some of the most novel and challenging projects, and to develop holistically as a lawyer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal research and analysis
• Assisting on tax structuring and advisory services (including in complex M&A transactions or financing arrangements)
• Assisting with tax controversies, including by way of litigation before the Singapore courts.
• Assisting with legal advice on wealth preservation strategies (including intergenerational succession and wealth transfer planning), immigration and relocation, and philanthropy and charity endeavours in Singapore.
• Reviewing and drafting documents in relation to tax and/or private wealth (including transaction documentation, trust deeds, etc.)
• Working closely with senior team members to deliver practical, client-focused solutions that address operational, regulatory, and commercial challenges

Requirements:

• Singapore qualified lawyer
• Interest or background in Tax and/or Private Wealth
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Collaborative and cooperative personalities are welcome.
• Fluency in English required, and proficiency in an additional Asian language (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa) is an advantage
