Associate, Syndication Loans Officer

Summary of the position:

Bilateral/Syndication Loans and Agency Role

• Provides comprehensive support and value-added services to the syndication business.
• Lender of record interest, Fee payment, the nature of this support requires
• Strong multi-faceted individuals, who possess the ability to learn in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Analysis of borrowers needs and risk controls.
• Coordination of terms with Bank Arrangers and able to act as an LC Fronting Role
• Due diligence process and sanction screening

Main responsibilities:

• Originates, structures and executes syndicated loan transactions
• Collaborates with clients and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with Platform on Agency function
• Coordinate booking of loans and fees income/expenses
• Creating of facility in respective systems
• Creating of loan management tool
• Liaise with Treasury for new rate fixing
• Operational aspects of Syndication Loans
• The analyst is responsible for verifying loan positions and loan processing, including
• drawdowns, renewals, interest and fee claims and secondary loan closing settlement.
  
  

Compliance:

• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Controls:

• Perform end of day controls to ensure all outstanding items are processed by the platforms
• Ensure payment transmitted successfully
• Review procedures and RACI as required

Secondary duties:

• Assist in any projects being assigned by the team
• Able to back up colleagues whenever is required

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience of 5yrs and knowledge in handling agency role
• The individual has the aptitude necessary to understand the economics and behaviour of the Loan Syndication business.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)
• Highly organized and Adept in time management
• Ability to prioritize well and good communication skills
• Must respond well to short notice and deadlines
• Ability to support and provide team work whenever in required
