The Goal

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will focus on learning, contributing to the teams daily work, and growing your technical skills. You will work closely with experienced engineers who will guide and mentor you, while you gradually take on more responsibility in developing and maintaining applications.

The Player

What you will be working on

• Assist in building and improving product features under the guidance of senior developers.
• Write clean, simple code and learn how to add unit and integration tests.
• Help in investigating and fixing issues related to our sports data feeds and trading components.
• Support the integration of applications with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Contribute to the automation of builds, testing, and deployments (e.g., using Jenkins).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, project managers, and product owners.

The Player

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, curious about modern technologies, and motivated to grow into a skilled Full Stack Developer. Youll get hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js, and exposure to AWS tools and services while working in a supportive environment.

You dont need to know everything yet what matters is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail, and your passion for improving your coding skills.

Key Accountabilities

• Development of small features and bug fixes with support from senior engineers.
• Writing and maintaining unit tests with guidance.
• Following coding standards and best practices.
• Learning how to ensure performance, security, and scalability in applications.
• Documenting your work to support knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in team discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Learn how to estimate tasks and break down requirements into deliverables.
• Continuously improve your technical and problem-solving skills.
• Understand the basics of system architecture in order to contribute effectively.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

Mandatory

• Some hands-on experience (commercial or personal projects) with JavaScript / Node.js / React.js.
• Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL).
• Familiarity with developing web applications.
• Willingness to write tests and improve code quality.
• Experience using Git for version control.

Preferred (nice-to-have, not required)

• Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Interest in microservices, APIs, or modern software architectures.
• Any experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
