Job Description

As a Credit Analysis Specialist within SeaMoney's Risk Management department, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the Bank's financial health by conducting thorough credit assessments of our Treasury counterparties and corporate loan customers. You will leverage your analytical skills and understanding of credit risk to ensure our exposures align with regulatory requirements and the Bank's risk appetite. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual contributor to make a significant impact within a dynamic digital banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Credit Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth credit due diligence on potential and existing Bank counterparties, primarily focusing on Treasury counterparties (including banking Financial Institutions and corporate bond issuers) and corporate loan customers.
  • Credit Rating and Grading: Perform credit rating and grading assessments in adherence to established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Exposure Monitoring: Diligently monitor credit limit utilization for Treasury counterparties and large corporate borrowers, proactively ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal Bank limits.
  • Proactive Credit Reviews and Early Warning: Conduct regular and ad-hoc credit reviews, identifying and monitoring early warning indicators for Treasury counterparties and large corporate borrowers to mitigate potential risks.
  • Policy and Guideline Enhancement: Regularly review, evaluate, and propose enhancements to the Bank's credit risk policies and guidelines pertaining to Treasury counterparties and large corporate borrowers, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with evolving regulations and risk appetite.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business teams and other relevant functions on new initiatives, including the development and refinement of internal credit rating models.
  • Stress Testing Participation: Participate in regular credit portfolio stress testing exercises to meet both internal risk management requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Management Reporting: Contribute to regular management reporting by preparing insightful materials, including comprehensive analysis and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven working experience as a Credit Analyst or in a related risk management role within a bank or financial institution.
  • Professional accreditation such as CPA or CFA is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and assess creditworthiness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit-related issues clearly and concisely.
  • Highly meticulous and self-driven with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Solid understanding of credit risk principles and a strong proficiency in financial statement analysis.
