Job Summary
The Associate Relationship Manager (ARM) supports Relationship Managers in managing Private Banking clients by delivering timely sales, customer service, and administrative support aligned with bank policies and compliance standards. The ARM also acts as back-up RM when needed.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Serve Private Banking clients by addressing their financial needs with accuracy and timeliness
- Build strong customer relationships and loyalty through consistent, personalized service delivery
- Follow up proactively with clients to ensure positive customer contact experiences
- Support cross-selling and referral initiatives to contribute to sales growth
- Make daily relationship calls to engage clients on personal milestones such as birthdays
- Respond promptly to customer and branch queries to maintain service quality
- Act as back-up Relationship Manager to ensure seamless client service continuity during RM absence
Compliance and Control
- Adhere strictly to BDO SG Private Banking operational policies to safeguard bank and client assets
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for all transactions and conduct regular compliance assessments
- Review sales and transaction documents meticulously to prevent errors and discrepancies
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to ensure sales compliance and follow up on closed deals
- Escalate client or branch concerns to Relationship Managers for swift resolution
Business Support and Administration
- Perform regular housekeeping to maintain organized work environment
- Assist Relationship Managers with documentation preparation, system consultations, and service advice
- Verify and review all sales documents and forms for accuracy and completeness
- Track sales data and generate business reports as required
- Maintain and securely store client files and documents in compliance with record retention policies
