Job Description

Your Tasks

You will support DZ BANK's Asia-Pacific Project Finance team, engaged in arranging of and participation in limited / non-recourse cash flow-based financing for large-scale greenfield and/or brownfield projects. As an Associate, you will support senior deal team members in their activities including originating, executing, and coordinating processes with clients and other lenders. An individual at this level would be expected to be familiar with advanced financial, cash flow and financial modelling analysis. Sectors covered by the Project Finance team include:

  • Core Infrastructure: transportation (highways, railways, ports), water, social infrastructure (schools, hospitals, prisons, other public buildings)
  • Digital Infrastructure: Data Centres
  • Power: conventional power plants, renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro) and BESS, transmission lines
  • Oil & Gas: LNG facilities, pipelines, refineries, petrochemicals

Job Description

You will support the Project Finance team in:

  • Working on credit applications, cash flow models, financial analyses and ESG compliance assessment
  • Managing portfolio transactions, including preparing waiver request and know your customer enquiries
  • Preparing research analyses and assistance with due diligence review (e.g., analyse the project and financing structure, identify project risks and assess the mitigation)
  • Supporting client onboarding
  • Performing analysis and research on countries, industries and financiers in relation with project finance;
  • Preparation of proposals or presentation to clients
  • Other administrative tasks

Your Profile

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance / Accounting / Engineering / or a related field of study
  • Min. 2 years of relevant experience in the financial or engineering industry, project finance experience preferred
  • Corporate finance fundamentals (incl. cash flow analysis), ideally obtained in past work experiences
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and Excel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities in English
  • Effective team player
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure and/or tight deadlines
