The Division of Mathematical Sciences in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NTU provides a multidisciplinary academic program that provides students with a wide-ranging and up-to-date education.

At the Division of Mathematical Sciences we have an opening for a position as Associate Professor (Tenure Track) in Algebra. The focus of the position is on the area of representation theory of finite groups. Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in mathematics, specializing in algebra or a related field, and a proven track record of excellence in research, demonstrated by a strong publication record and recognition in the specific research area.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality research in the field of representation theory of finite groups.
• Deliver engaging and effective teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assume administrative responsibilities and work closely with the School administration.

Additional Requirements:

Teaching Experience: Extensive experience in teaching large classes and developing teaching materials, showcasing a commitment to delivering high-quality education.

Supervisory Experience: Successful supervision of PhD, MSc, and BSc projects, indicating the ability to mentor and guide students in their academic pursuits.

Research Funding: A demonstrable ability to secure research funding, highlighting the candidate's potential to contribute significantly to the growth of the research portfolio.

Management and Administrative Skills: Extensive experience in management and administrative duties.

Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for working collaboratively with colleagues from diverse disciplines.
