Overview
The Associate supports the Presidents Office in advancing the AI Asia Pacific Institutes mission to promotethe responsible development and adoption of AI across Asia-Pacific and beyond. This dynamic role combinesresearch, communications, and operational coordination, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to AIAPIs internationally recognized policy and research agenda. The Associate will collaborate with board members, advisors, researchers, and partners, helping to drive impactful projects that shape the global conversation on artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and contribute to policy briefs, reports, and other publications on AI governance.
- Support AIAPIs communications, including newsletters, blogs, presentations, and social media.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and external engagements with board members, advisors, and partners.
- Assist in project management, grant research, and partnership development activities.
- Provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth delivery of programs and initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear outputs.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in public policy, international relations, law, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or background in AI policy, governance, human rights, or international affairs is an asset.
- Ideally based in Southeast Asia, with knowledge of the regional context.
