What You Can Expect

Job Summary

Identify and evaluate promising business opportunities for acquisition / in-licensing that support the strategic objectives of ZB AP team. Subsequently manage the deal process including commercial diligence, deal terms, contract negotiation and support the integration of successful projects into the broader organization.

How You'll Create Impact

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate teams of internal and external experts to evaluate product opportunities;
  • Cross-functional due diligence teams include in-house and external including but not limited to manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, financial, legal, intellectual property experts;
  • Manage the development of the business case and financial model with other internal functions, and project manage the overall assessment of interesting opportunities;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the Regional and Global teams integrating and summarizing scientific, clinical, financial, and market information;
  • Structure and negotiate terms of licensing agreements with potential business partners;
  • Support various regional and global initiatives including transformational projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and succinct manner both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong financial acumen (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and budgets).
  • Strength in implementing strategic projects and/or integrating partnerships into the commercial organization

Your Background

  • Life sciences and/or biomedical engineering degree highly preferred, ideally M.D. or PhD in relevant field
  • 5+ years relevant working experience, with 3-5 years of that experience in a business development or related role
  • MBA or relevant business experience (Medical devices, biotech, venture capital, investment banking, strategic consulting)
  • Fluency in English
  • Working proficiency in Chinese required;

10-15%
