About the Role:

We are looking for an associate (1-3 years PQE) to join our Litigation & Dispute Resolution department, with a team that handles Singapore and cross-border commercial disputes, including employment, environment, health and safety and healthcare matters.

This is a role for someone seeking to become an exceptional lawyer through hands-on experience, close mentorship and exposure to significant cases. You will work closely with senior lawyers and be trusted with meaningful responsibility, calibrated to your level of experience. There will be opportunities for you to develop advocacy, drafting and client management skills across a range of disputes and advisory work. Learning is embedded in practice, facilitated by a collaborative and respectful working environment.

This role will best suit someone looking to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting advice, correspondence and submissions and actively managing the progress and timelines of commercial disputes across a wide range of industry sectors
  • Conducting procedural hearings and simple substantive hearings with the support and guidance of senior team members
  • Advising and representing clients on a wide range of employment, health and safety matters, including wrongful dismissal, enforcement of restrictive covenants, disciplinary proceedings, grievance handling, investigations into employee wrongdoing, and workplace safety or environmental incidents
  • Advising and representing healthcare professionals in negligence claims, disciplinary proceedings, and coroner's inquiries.

Requirements:

Experience in litigation, international arbitration, employment and/or investigation matters is preferred but not essential.

Fluency in English (written and spoken) required, and proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable as the role will involve supporting the China practice.
