Role summary
We are looking for a junior lawyer (02 PQE) to join our in-house legal team as Associate Legal Counsel. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will support the companys legal and compliance functions across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and governance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career lawyer who wants to gain broad in-house experience in the fast-evolving blockchain and fintech industries.
Key responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Contract Management: Own the contract lifecycle ensure contracts are properly executed, stored, and tracked; maintain organized records; monitor key obligations, deliverables, and renewal dates; support the development of internal templates and playbooks.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Support compliance with global financial regulations, securities laws, AML/KYC requirements, and data protection obligations.
- Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate structuring, board matters, entity management, and regulatory filings.
- External Liaison: Coordinate with external counsel, regulators, and business partners on legal and compliance matters.
- Legal Research & Advisory: Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise advice to business teams under the supervision of the Head of Legal.
- Legal Operations: Help streamline internal legal processes, knowledge management, and reporting to enhance efficiency across the team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 02 years PQE, admitted to practice law in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction. Candidates with relevant in-house internships or training contract exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Education: Degree in Law and legal qualification (Singapore Bar or equivalent).
- Knowledge: Strong foundation in contract law and corporate/commercial practice; familiarity with fintech, blockchain, or technology industries is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Mindset: Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable. Comfortable taking ownership of tasks while seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Bonus: Experience supporting M&A, partnerships, or token-related transactions is a plus.
