ROLE OVERVIEW

In the role of Associate Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for the following:

• Work directly with senior legal colleagues and other business partners to support the growth of the business across various asset classes and jurisdictions within Asia
• Assist with the negotiation of trading documentation with trading counterparties and prime brokers
• Assist on fund related matters such as structuring and fund documentation
• Support general corporate matters in Asia, including corporate secretarial matters such as board and shareholder meetings, and statutory returns
• Coordinate AML/KYC onboarding with Asia-based trading counterparties

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• LLB with minimum 3 years PQE
• Qualified in a common law jurisdiction
• Prior experience in financial services, particularly asset management, is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment, with good judgment regarding when to elevate issues
• Proficiency in Chinese is a plus
