YourResponsibilities
- Medical Planning & Pre-Design: Lead and oversee medical planning aspects of projects, including clinical workflow planning, space programming, and user requirement analysis. Conduct feasibility studies, site and zoning analysis, and ensure alignment with healthcare operational needs and regulatory standards.
- Oversee all aspects of the project, including design, technical compliance, contracts, and execution. Ensure project aligns with cost, resource plans, and quality and regulatory standards. Lead, manage, and review pre-design work and feasibility studies, site, and zoning analyses.
- Design and design development: Collaborate closely with the Design Director and project team to develop conceptual and detailed architectural designs. Ensure alignment with client briefs, budgets, timelines, and healthcare-specific requirements.
- Project Documentation: Drive design development, dealing with architectural layout, details, materials, specifications, contract documents for project tenders.
- Team Supervision and Development: Guide, supervise, and coordinate the project team and assigned team members to ensure timely and objective-aligned project delivery. Provide support and direction.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Lead coordination and communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members. Chair and attend necessary meetings to maintain project alignment and to resolve issues.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure project compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Oversee the preparation and submission of required documentation for approvals. Direct Technical Officers in regulatory compliance matters. Implement and monitor practice and processes to ensure quality delivery.
- Project Administration: Prepare fee proposals, contracts, and manage project payments. Keep the project within budget and on schedule.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate technical aspects of the project with consultants and oversee the preparation and review of construction documents and drawings. Conduct site inspections and ensure documentation aligns with project specifications.
- Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional management support tasks as necessary, drive collaboration between project teams, and perform other project-related duties to support continuous improvement and project success.
Pre-requisites and Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a Graduate Diploma from accredited institutions.
- Experience with healthcare projects (e.g. hospitals, nursing homes, or other medical facilities is preferred. Candidates with experience in commercial, hospitality, and institutional buildings are also preferred.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of healthcare planning principles, local building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Capable of leading project teams and resolving issues quickly and effectively throughout project development.
- Exhibits strong analytical capabilities coupled with effective management skills.
- A collaborative and strategic thinker, focused on achieving optimal project outcomes.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage time efficiently to meet challenging deadlines and client requirements.
- Creative with a keen sense of aesthetic judgment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 2D/3D design tools, as well as Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
