We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance associate to join the Global Transportation Finance team in our Singapore office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with partners and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. The Global Transportation Finance Group at Vedder has been ranked by Chambers USA as a nationwide Band 1 practice for 20 years and counting, with further recognition from Chambers Global, Chambers UK, The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 UK. You would join a global team of more than 60 lawyers representing major banks, leasing companies, airlines, hedge funds, private equity firms and other investors in a wide range of complex international and domestic transactions focusing on the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition, restructuring and enforcement of aviation, rail, maritime and general equipment assets.
About You
- You have 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm;
- You have experience in one or more of the following areas: securitization, leveraged finance, secured lending, leasing and trading assets, project finance or structured finance, ideally in connection with aviation or maritime matters;
- You have strong contract drafting and negotiating skills as well as organizational skills;
- You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously; and
- You have strong academic credentials and are qualified (and are in good standing) in England & Wales or New York
