Responsibilities:
The role is designed to assist the Head of the function to monitor the performance of financial metrics, mainly expenses, and provide expense insights to formulate business plan. In addition, the individual will be responsible for various strategic initiatives, mainly relating to analysing and presenting various performance levers/drivers for the business. The key responsibilities will include as follows:
. Expense Tracking: Generate and maintain expense reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery.
. Expense Variance Analysis: Perform expense variance analysis to understand the spending and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the spending is within plan.
. Expense Forecast: Develop forecasts based on historical data and current trends to support financial planning and decision-making.
. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide insights to support decision-making
. Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of reporting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
. Documentation Management: Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes, including report templates, data sources, and methodologies
. Ad Hoc Projects: Support ad hoc projects by conducting research, analysing data, and providing recommendations
Requirements
Experience
. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in management reporting, financial analysis, or related field.
. Possess experience with expense variance analysis and forecasting preferred.
. Prior exposure to project management or participation in projects is advantageous.
. Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, or other data analysis software.
Education
. Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance or related field.
