Job Summary
Lead 4G site rollout and network optimization projects to meet KPIs. Manage engineering activities, contractors, and customer relations while ensuring timely project delivery and high-quality network performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform 4G site rollout including site survey, site design, testing, commissioning, drive test, and optimization to meet network KPIs
- Manage, monitor, and track all engineering activities to ensure efficient completion within shortest timeframes
- Design in-building network solutions and resolve customer complaints with effective technical solutions
- Prepare and maintain project schedules ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met
- Source and procure suitable equipment and materials required for projects
- Review tender documents, identify technical concerns, and handle technical aspects of tender projects
- Provide project design and costing liaise with customers to address project-related issues
- Liaise with, manage, and monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure schedules and milestones are met
- Evaluate and negotiate quotes from contractors and suppliers to optimize project costs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain 4G network performance to meet grade of service standards
- Oversee technical trials and services implemented by the company, ensuring operational effectiveness
- Respond to customer complaints related to Tetra, LTE, GRIDTalk, and other company services with solutions and costing
- Prepare documentation, presentations, and progress reports for team activities and project status
- Monitor spares and inventory levels required for network operation and project execution
- Be contactable 24x7 and perform standby duties for faults, major events, and as required by the company
Required competencies and certifications
- Tertiary education qualification majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
- Relevant telecommunications certification and experience working with 4G, wireless, and RF networks
- Minimum 2 years of experience in LTE mobile network maintenance
- Knowledge of 4G radio access technologies, antenna systems, and RF principles
- Singapore Class 3 driving license
- Ability to work in rooftop, tunnel, construction site, dusty, and harsh environments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat, and related software
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to take ownership, conceptualize solutions, motivate, and build high-performing teams
- Willingness to perform standby duties at site and remotely
- Ability to work overtime and collaborate effectively as a team player with a positive attitude
