The candidate will assume a meaningful role in ensuring the safety of industrial electrical and electronics products. Through the role, he/she will gain a comprehensive understanding on existing test procedures required of the products and acquire stakeholder management skills through liaison with vendors and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and evaluate environmental (climatic) tests of industrial electrical and electronic products in accordance to international standards
- Ensure testing is done in compliant to safety guidelines and completed on schedule in accordance to client's requirements
- Prepare test and inspection reports
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
- Undertake process improvement projects on testing facilities and services
- Maintain and upkeep test facilities and equipment
- Participate in local and overseas site works including site assessment, survey, inspection, testing and commissioning as required by projects
- Overtime and shift work may be required on project basis
Key Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent. Fresh diploma graduates are welcome to apply.
- Results and service-oriented individual who possesses initiative and good communication skills
- Proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
- Self-motivated and resourceful with a can-do attitude
- May be required to be stationed in external local / overseas laboratories
