We are looking for an Associate Engineer to support the company's operation in company's IT infrastructure and software function for our clients. He/she will be working closely with the Lead Engineer to provide on-site Electronic Queue Management System (EQMS) for clients, and carry out the necessary support to ensure smooth operation.
Job Scope:
1. Operation (Maintenance)
1.1 Provide technical services to the maintenance and troubleshooting of the Electronic Queue Management System.
1.2 Attend and carry out Fault Finding and Diagnosis of systems breakdowns, both on a mechanical and electrical basis, with a focus on providing high levels of service and response times.
1.3 Follow Preventive Maintenance work schedules to specified standards and procedures and maintain all relevant written records.
1.4 Maintain records of all breakdowns and repairs allowing for analysis and compliance with ISO standards.
1.5 Attend for any project implementation, assist Project Manager accordingly for successful completion of projects and maintenance issues.
1.6 Be available for on call procedures and other responsibilities required.
1.7 Handle customer's inquiry, request and complaints in a professional manner and efficient way.
1.8 Proactive in problem solving and initiate in providing IT solutions to improve the operation.
1.9 Inform Superior on any stock movements to ensure the availability and stock level for the necessary procurement.
1.10 Assist in root cause analysis identified by team members together with the Service Engineer and Superior.
1.11 Assist in project related activities that includes deployment, installation, and testing.
1.12 To follow all company business operation and SOP at all times.
1.13 Participate actively in Health Safety and Environment programs and activities in order to achieve Company's KPIs, ISO 14001 objectives and target. Proactively rectify any abnormalities, unsafe acts or unsafe situations and report to supervisor accordingly.
1.14 Maintain high standard of housekeeping at all times.
2. Standby Duties
2.1 Answer all service request phone calls during scheduled standby duties.
2.2 Attend to the fault call issues and follow SOP in attending to all the calls.
2.3 Handover the tasks to the respective engineers who is on duty the next day.
2.4 Support project adhoc activities (e.g. testing, deployment, commissioning)
Requirements
. Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or courses related to both fields. Locals and citizens will be prioritized.
. 1-2 years of relevant working experience in an engineering, maintenance, or technical support environment. Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
. Hands-on experience in onsite technical support for clients and resolve any technical issues arises.
. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
. Basic understanding of IT systems, including hardware setup, system configuration, and ability to provide simple IT-related solutions to enhance operations.
. Familiarity with Preventive and Corrective Maintenance procedures, with experience maintaining proper documentation and adhering to ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) preferred.
. Ability to work on standby duty.
. Good communication and customer service skills to handle queries from the clients.
. Proactive, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset, with the initiative to propose improvements and support root-cause analysis.
. Team player with strong coordination skills, able to support project implementation, deployment, installation, and testing alongside engineers and project managers.
. Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, including equipment handling and onsite activities when required.
. Able to follow company SOPs, safety protocols, and housekeeping standards, and actively participate in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs.
