Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Role Purpose

The role is responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of events across the distribution team , ensuring each event reinforces business priorities, strengthens engagement, and supports commercial performance.

The incumbent will serve as the single point of accountability for transforming the annual engagement calendar into high-impact experiences that strengthen adviser sentiment, support production momentum, and improve retention across channels.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Planning

  • Own the annual distribution event calendar from planning through execution
  • Align event objectives to business priorities and channel needs
  • Translate leadership messaging into meaningful event experiences
  • Ensure every event supports adviser engagement and commercial outcomes

Event Execution

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of all assigned events
  • Build detailed project timelines and execution plans
  • Oversee venue selection, logistics, guest management and production
  • Lead onsite execution and issue resolution during live events

Stakeholder Management To Partner With

  • Distribution leaders
  • Marketing
  • Compliance
  • Finance
  • Product teams
  • Channel heads
  • Coordinate with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support VIP and regional stakeholder engagement where required

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Manage event budgets effectively
  • Source and negotiate with vendors
  • Ensure cost discipline while maintaining execution quality
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain preferred vendor relationships

Content & Programme Development to work closely with leadership to develop:

  • Event narratives
  • Agenda flow
  • Scripts
  • Run-of-show documents
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all touchpoints

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track event effectiveness against:
  • Attendance
  • Engagement
  • Adviser sentiment
  • Production impact where relevant
  • Deliver post-event reporting and recommendations for improvement

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 3 Years Of Experience In

  • Events management
  • Distribution support
  • Agency account management
  • Channel marketing
  • Financial services or insurance experience preferred, but not essential
